The Ballarat Women’s Cricket Club was established prior to the 2018/2019 season to facilitate

the need for opportunities for open age women within the Ballarat region to play the game.

Our home ground is the iconic Eastern Oval.

In our first season the BWCC consisted of one open age women’s team with 17 playing members, most of whom were not actively playing, and a Woolworths Junior & Master Blaster programs for entry level young girls. The 2018/19 season included both a T20 competition as well as a 1 Day competition. In the inaugural season the BWCC were premiers in the T20 competition and Runners Up in the 1 Day Competition.

From this success, the club wants to continue to give women and girls an opportunity to play cricket and promote a pathway for junior girls to work towards, therefore investing in our future
