The "greg Wakeling" Club Person Award

Greg "Waka" Wakeling has played a pivotal role in female cricket in Ballarat. Through his role as BCA Operations Manager, Waka developed and facilitated a junior girls cricket competition starting in 2016/17. In April of 2018, Waka came up with the idea to make a female only cricket club in Ballarat. Along with a working party, the Ballarat Women's Cricket Club was formed.

Over the past few years, Waka has been involved in all levels of female cricket in Ballarat. This includes conducting the Junior and Master Blaster female only programs, umpiring games and rolling the turf wicket on Sunday mornings just to name a few. He has also been heavily involved in the Bolts since inception by being on the committee then Treasurer.

Without the dedication and commitment of Waka to female cricket in Ballarat, we would not exist. The recipient of this award displays commitment to the club above and beyond what is expected. The award winners are listed below.
